Sports Injuries

Whether you are a casual athlete or training for a marathon, the stress placed on your feet can cause various types of injuries, including stress fractures, sprained ankles, torn ligaments, shin splints, knee pain, lower back pain and other joint or muscle problems.  Many factors can contribute to an injury.  It is advised to implement safety and common sense during any type of physical activity.  If you injury your foot or ankle during physical activity, contact your podiatrist immediately.
